November 18, 2005

Dominic:  Just over a week old now. I am weighing in at 8 pounds 2 ounces and just a little "taller" at 21 inches. I am in the 50th percentile for weight, 25th percentile for my noggin, and 75th for my height. Tall and skinny. Watch out, Enzo, here I come! You better be nice to me because I might end up being the bigger Baby Graz. Even if I am not, I will be faster so I'll be able to outrun you. Life is good so far. Lots of eating and sleeping. Enzo still likes to pet my head like a puppy and kiss me whenever I am in my swing. My puppies are being very nice too....yes, even Lucy.

If you didn't notice, my site now has my name all over it instead of the "BG2". I figured I might as well use my real name now that I am more than just a baby graz fetus without a name.
By the way, nobody guessed my weight and all the guesses were over, so nobody wins the autographed picture of me. You can, however, order any of my pics directly from Sony Imagestation when you visit my album. Mommy orders all my pictures that way. They are cheaper than having film developed and you don't have to go back to pick them up. I highly recommend them, and you can order my little mug on a mouse pad, calendars, t-shirts....even a mug. My Mug on a Mug!

Dominic:  I'm home. I was born Dominic Alexander at 11:31 PM on November 9th. I was a mere 7 pounds 7 ounces. Much less than most people expected but still normal. 20.5 inches long. Mommy was supposed to have me on Thursday, but I was ready. Read the previous news posts, I was leaving hints. Nobody would listen. So, I gave my mom the pleasure of a few hours of labors before Dr. Belmonte came to get me. All is well, though. I am happy and healthy. Mom is doing very well too.
I have lots more pictures in my album now. Click here to see all the details from the birth (don't worry, not too graphic) to my first visitors.

Dominic:  I played a mean joke on my Mommy this weekend, but it was not entirely my fault. I'm living in some pretty close quarters here, so I decided to just kick back...or roll up in a ball, and relax until my Doctor came to get me. Well, this concerned my Mommy since she didn't feel me kicking like I usually do. So an hour later at the hospital my heart rate was all the proof they needed. I'm still here, just not kicking as much. Sorry for the scare.

Well, I might not have much more opportunity to update the news here until after my birth. It all depends on when I get home and Daddy gets a chance to upload my pictures. Don't worry though, you'll find out soon enough. So, keep checking for an email. I'll let you know when I have arrived.

Dominic:  Home stretch!  Just a few more days. Mommy is the only one to send any guesses for the "Guess My Weight" contest. I guess I started it too late, or nobody visits my site. Boo hoo! I don't think she is eligible for the contest though. Actually, she is the only person that is not eligible since she has a little inside information....pun intended. She guessed 9 pounds 1 ounce, just to give everyone a rough idea. Daddy thinks I am 9 pounds 18 ounces. Don't tell Mommy, but that is actually 10 pounds 2 ounces. She would probably be more scared to think that I am over 10 pounds, even though I will be born in a little less traumatic fashion than the regular way (less traumatic for me, that is). Daddy hopes he can see more this time. He even offered to help, but I don't think the doctors will let him.

Anthony: 9. That's the magic number. 9 more days until I get a competitor. I am looking forward to it, though. My grandparents are coming to stay with me. There's baby stuff ready in the nursery. I still like to play with some of it, but I know I better let.....oops, almost let the secret out of the bag. I better let my new brother play with his own toys or my parents will introduce me to "time out", which my Daddy says is silly. "Time out" does not sound that bad. I'll just go to my room and play with my toys, and read my books, and watch my fish and frogs. Oh no! They might not put me in my room for time out. What if they put me in the kitchen in my high chair that I hate so much now? Oh, the horror! The horror! Sorry, I am still in the Halloween spirit. Speaking of Halloween, check out my new Halloween album with pics of me in my Little Devil costume.

Dominic: 9 more days. That's it. Thank God. Anyone have any guesses for my weight? Email me. The closest guess wins an autographed picture of......me, seriously. I will mail one of my first pictures to the person with the closest guess.

Dominic:  Update: I'll be joining the earth's population a couple of hours earlier than originally planned.  My birth has been moved up to 1:00 PM CST on November 10th, 2005. Yes, the countdown has been updated to reflect this change, for all of you waiting with champagne bottles ready to pop. Are you ready for me? I think I'm ready now. Why not.

October 25, 2005

Dominic: Squish! This uterus that I've called a home for the past 9 months is starting to give me hints that I am not welcome much longer. It get's tight in here every now and then. I think mommy calls them contractions. They are not often enough that I can't stand them, but if they get to that point, I'm packin' up and movin' out. Hopefully that does not happen or it will probably just be Daddy there to see me at first. I'll hold on as long as I can. See you soon, one way or another.

October 20, 2005

Anthony: My unborn little fetus of a brother better watch it. He's starting to talk trash before he is even born. I obviously have a much larger vocabulary than he suggests on his news page. I just choose to annunciate particular words that produce certain desired results such as "cheese", "cookie", "fish", "doggy", "maggie", "mommy" (which may mean "pacifier" but I know how to get what I want one way or another so it doesn't matter), "apple", "pool", "trucks", "car", "my", "no" and a few more.

Dominic:  Full term! That's what mommy's doctor is telling her. I am as big as a full term baby. She feeds me pretty well. I've got it pretty good in here. As a matter of fact, I'm not so sure I want to join the outside world. After 10 months in here (do the math, it takes us humans 40 weeks to gestate. Yeah, I'm a smart fetus, or a smart a** fetus.) I might not be able to cope with life on the outside. I hear it's pretty hard at first. Lots of sleeping and eating and pooping, and sleeping and eating and pooping, plus all the crazy people that talk to me like I am puppy, and dress me in silly outfits and costumes for holidays. Come on. I might be young but my cognitive ability will be developing at an exponential rate, so please talk normal to me. Dress me like a little man, not a bumble bee or reindeer. My brother still just says "fish", "doggy", "mommy" (which translates to "pacifier"), "vroom vroom", "car", "truck" and a couple other words. He should be reading the newspaper by now. Ok, I'm tired from all this babbling. Good night. Hey Mom, send some juice down here. I'm getting thirsty!

October 17, 2005

Anthony: I had a lot of fun this past weekend. We went to Wisconsin where I went through a corn field maze, saw lots of pumpkins, some crazy goats, and got to shoot a corn cannon. I am a little tired today after all that fun. No pictures, though. Daddy didn't bring his camera. Shame on you, Daddy.

October 12, 2005

Anthony: New Site! I was getting sick of my old site, so I decided to go with a Ferrari theme of sorts to match my room.  Most of the old content is still here, including all of the old news here. The videos had not worked on my old site for a while, so they are the most obvious omission from this new site. You can still visit the old site here if you'd prefer.  What else is new? Not much. I enjoy watching Finding Nemo as often as possible. Mommy keeps trying to expand my portfolio of movies with Toys (Toy Story ), Bugs ( A Bug's Life ), Bots ( Robots ), etc... but I think I'll stick to "Fish" (as I call it) until I can recite the entire script by the time I am 2 years old. That's my goal. My favorite part is the initiation at Mount Wannahockaloogy. "Ah-oo-ah-ee-ah-oo-oo-oo!"

October 6, 2005

Dominic: I didn't make many friends with the little name game I played. Maybe I will still unveil my name with the same page though, so don't be afraid to go back to the name page.

Dr. Belmonte checked me out today. I am 34 weeks old, but I am measuring as big as a typical 36 week old, so I am either another big one like my brother Enzo, or I'm going to be born closer to my grandpa's or uncle Jim's birthdays. Stay tuned...

October 3, 2005

Anthony: Daddy took me to see a bunch of "vroom vrooms" in the park this weekend. That's what I call Daddy's blue car, a "vroom vroom". There were a lot of cars similar to Daddy's. I had fun looking at the cars for about 5 minutes, then I moved on to more exciting things, like running around the park.

September 27, 2005

Anthony: I just realized that I did not officially announce that I am definitely getting a brother to torment, which is good, because girls are icky, except for Maddie, my friend....and my cousins, Maria and Jenna....and my Mommy....and my grandmas.....but the rest are definitely icky. Yes, I mentioned HIS site and my little brother in previous news, but now it is official. And his name will be......  Click here to find out

Dominic:  New pictures over on my pictures page. Just my nursery, but it's a start. Also, after much deliberation, and under constant pressure from my Aunt Holly, I have decided to tell you my name. Click here to find out.

September 21, 2005

Anthony: I was in a wedding this weekend. It was Becca and Aaron's wedding. Becca used to baby sit me back when I was little.  I had fun. Too much fun. Lots of running and hiding and dancing and eating and running...away from anyone that would chase me. You might have already read about it on my little brother's site. If not, you should check out his new site. It is a little fancier and, yes...darker than mine, but I like it.

Dominic:  I'm getting bigger. Mommy's doctor says I am probably going to be as big as my brother was when he was born. Everything is still going well in here. Just a little uncomfortable. I'm sure Mommy agrees. Enzo was in a wedding this past weekend. Check out the pics of him in his little blue suit.

September 16, 2005

Dominic:  No news is good news at this point. I am getting bigger, but I have my work cut out for me if I want to beat my big brother's weight. He was 9 pounds 5 ounces. My room has been ready for a couple months, so I will have to get some pictures of it up here soon.

June 15, 2005

Anthony: So, I post news quarterly. You gotta problem with that? Sorry everyone. I don't think anyone reads my news anymore anyway with the pending arrival of my sibling in November. Oops! Did I forget to mention that I will have a baby brother or sister in November? Can you blame me? I have to milk all this time as the only child for all it's worth. I am looking forward to having a little brother or sister to help care for. Mommy wants to know if it is a boy or a girl. She is convinced that it is is girl. Daddy does not want to know and would not mind another boy, but I am sure he would like a girl too. He just thinks girls have cooties. I have to agree. By the way, the link to my growing sibling's site is http://grazianifamily.net/archives/2006/Dominic/ <-- That's "bg2" as in Baby Graz 2...not Baby Graz 2.0 which is just the second release of MY website. Daddy says BG2 is like "BG2 Judgment Day". I I don't get it. Maybe I will when I am older. The site is still being developed and should definitely be done by the time BG2 is born....scheduled for November 10th, 2005. Stay tuned.....

March 12, 2005

Anthony: It's been a while. I know. I am certainly walking now. That's old news. I can say a few things like "doggie" and "dadda" and "mama" and "Uh oh", but I think a tree or any plant is a "doggie" and I use "mama" and "dadda" interchangeably. If you haven't already checked, I am sort of cheating by just using a Sony Imagestation photo album for posting all my pictures from now on. It saves me a lot of time coding all the fancy html. But you should be happy because it will make it much easier and much faster for me to post pictures. So, you can still come to my site to go to the link or you can bookmark the page when it opens in another window. I hope you don't mind. There are about 30 new pictures that I posted today. Some are from my visit the the Science and Industry Museum in Chicago. I had fun sitting in a big combine and in the wheel of a big tractor.
